Ret. Sergeant Richard Jackson December 2020 Member of the Month

The Black Shield Police Association

---

Richard Jackson, now a retired Sergeant from the Cleveland Division of Police, has served as a Commissioner on the Cleveland Community Police Commission since 2018, on behalf of the Black Shield Police Association.

He also continues to serve as the Financial Secretary of the BSPA. After serving over 30 years with the Cleveland Division of Police, 20 of those years as a supervisor, Sgt. Jackson has decided to step down from his position as Commissioner to focus on family and to enjoy his retirement. His extensive resume, including organizational training from the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), Ohio Police Officers Training Academy (OPOTA), and the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE), has been invaluable to our membership and organization over the years.

Sergeant (Ret.) Richard Jackson is recognized as the BSPA's Officer of the Month for December 2020 for his unwavering dedication to the BSPA, the Commission, and the many contributions to the community given over his 30 years of service with the Cleveland Division of Police.
