Patrol Officer Angelia Gaston February 2021 Member of the Month

The Black Shield Police Association

---

Patrol Officer Angelia Gaston, born and raised on the East Side of Cleveland, has been a member of the Cleveland Division of Police for 10 years.

Prior to becoming an officer, P.O. Gaston worked as a youth program coordinator and community organizer in the Hough neighborhood, and ran several successful political campaigns. P.O. Gaston credits her close and open relationship with Jesus Christ as her defining characteristic - her passion for community and youth outreach drove her to join the Division and become an active participant in the Black Shield.

P.O. Gaston is currently the BSPA's Sergeant at Arms, and has previously served as the Inner Guard and Chair of the Program Committee. She has recently been tasked with spearheading the newly formed Recruitment Committee with the BSPA, to help facilitate an increase in minority applicants for public safety careers in Cleveland.

PO Angelia Gaston is recognized as the BSPA's Officer of the Month for February 2021 for her unwavering commitment to our organization.
