Attention Current Public Safety Officials:
If you know any recent high school graduates or current high school sophomores and juniors that are interested in attending the 2019 Tri-C Tuition-Free Public Safety Summer Academy, please contact The Black Shield at info@theblackshield.org or call Tri-C at 216-987-3075 to sign up!
The camp runs from June 10th to the 28th, Monday through Friday from 8.30a to 4.30p. Transportation is provided. Pick up and drop off location is at Tri-C Metro Location (3409 Woodland Avenue) - buses leave at 8a and return at 4.30p.
Students have the opportunity to explore:
Careers in public safety, development, mentoring, and networking
Classroom instruction on various public safety topics
Tours of the Justice Center , Metro Parks Rangers Station, Ohio Peace Officers Training Commission, Tactical Training Center and Ohio State Highway Patrol
Guest speakers in legal studies, fire science, victim advocacy, corrections, policing, court stenography and dispatch. etc and so much more
